Alexander
This bracelet was born from the desire to reinvent my first models created in 2014, and in particular here, the Around the Corner design.
The idea was to keep the original shape while making visible, by sublimating it, the way in which the two ends of the silver wire meet.
The dynamic created by the meeting of these threads immediately reminded me of the work of contemporary choreographer and dancer Alexander Vantournhout, whose magnificent performance of Through the Grapevine I had the chance to see in January 2024, at exactly the same time as this model was born in my imagination. This duo choreography brings together bodies to create surprising and intriguing anamorphoses reinventing human anatomy. This bracelet symbolizes the meeting of these two bodies which become one.
It is made by hand in my workshop with a single thread.
